KELR - Kituwah Equestrian Language Research

The Kituwah Language is an ancient and ever evolving language.  As far as science can count, it is around 10,000 years old.  Many sections of the language may not be used or spoken today, or ever again, due to historical oppression and an evolving human culture.  We are seeking to document the horse and horsemanship sections of the language.  Recordings of interviews of Kituwah Horsewomen and Horsemen are being gathered over time and shared with you here on our website.  Collections of the recordings will be given to each of the three "Cherokee" Tribes for archival purposes.
